Coming from a Reformed/Episcopal Christian background and going through Catechism this is a good intro to Orthodox prayer and how the Eastern Orthodox pray. I did not give this book 5 stars because l was expecting a more varied book on prayer.(prayers for the dead, sick, suffering, confessing of sins, etc). But then again this is for daily prayers/5(37). This book contains prayers taken and translated from the Synekdemos to guide you through the day. It also includes the Communion prayers.
